Media Branding

The promotion and development of electronic artists working within niche-oriented markets has, in the past few years, brought the issue of branding into the spotlight. In 2003, MUTEK_INTERSECTION presented a panel of electronic music labels to discuss their respective roles in the branding of their releases, and how they had managed to oftentimes conceptualize projects of an unclassifiable nature, indirectly strengthening global niche markets.

In 2004, MUTEK presents a panel of media experts to discuss how they manage this conceptualization put forth by the labels: how they classify electronic music, how it is presented to audiences, and what weight they bear on the influence of our buying habits.
