Nils Frahm - All Melody

In collaboration with the Montreal Jazz Festival, we are excited to present a brand new show from acclaimed composer and keyboard player Nils Frahm, whose music creates a third space between his classical and electronic tendencies. An accomplished musician with a keen interest in both classical and ambient realms, he first learned to play the age-old instrument in the purest Tchaikovsky tradition. His hyper-intimate and unconventional approach to recording makes use of microscopic external sounds that most musicians would frown upon - like piano keys cracking, floorboards creaking, and Frahm himself breathing. An alumnus of MUTEK 2013, his two performances at the festival that year were charismatic and captivating experiences.
